Main Effects
1. Lipolysis Promotion: In preclinical models, it modulates β3-adrenergic signaling in adipocytes to raise intracellular cAMP and stimulate fat breakdown. It may also inhibit de novo fat synthesis. Animal studies indicate potential reduction in visceral fat accumulation.
2. No IGF-1 Elevation: It does not bind to the classic growth hormone receptor and therefore does not raise IGF-1. This theoretically lowers certain GH-associated risks including edema, insulin resistance and excessive tissue proliferation.
3. Potential Cartilage Support: In vitro research suggests it may encourage proteoglycan and collagen production in chondrocytes. Investigations continue into its relevance for joint and cartilage injury models; human clinical evidence remains limited.
4. Clinical Limitations in Humans: Early phase IIa data showed mild weight-loss trends, but the pivotal phase IIb trial failed to meet statistically significant weight-loss endpoints, leading to discontinued development for obesity. Effects on body fat are generally modest and highly individual. It is not equivalent to approved anti-obesity medications.
How to Use
Administration: Subcutaneous injection into abdominal fat. Oral forms have low bioavailability.
Reference dosage: 250–500 mcg daily, can be split into two empty-stomach doses. No official
therapeutic dose.
Timing: Inject on an empty stomach; avoid meals 1.5–3 hours before and after.
Storage: Unreconstituted powder refrigerated at 2–8°C, away from light. After mixing with
bacteriostatic water, refrigerate and use within 21–28 days.
Cycle: Typical research cycles last 8–12 weeks; rest intervals are advised.
Notes: Local mild irritation may occur. Not suitable for pregnant/lactating people, those with cancer history or severe liver/kidney issues. Diet and exercise are fundamental for body composition management.
