What is MOTS-c
MOTS-c is a 16-amino acid peptide encoded by mitochondrial DNA; it appears as a white lyophilized powder. Unlike typical peptides that act on cell-surface receptors, MOTS-c can enter the cell nucleus to regulate gene expression related to stress adaptation and energy metabolism.

1. Metabolic Regulation: Research indicates that MOTS-c influences energy metabolism primarily by activating the AMPK signaling pathway, thereby promoting glucose utilization and lipolysis;

Subcutaneous injection is commonly used in laboratory settings (animal experiments);
Single experimental dose: 2.5–5 mg, 2–3 times per week; some experimental protocols employ a regimen of 5 days of administration followed by 2 days off.
